“My experience with Mamas Who Dream was life changing, it was my first extended trip without my husband and son. Initially, I was hesitant because I thought I would miss my family and I only knew Maureen. However, the first step on to the camp sure I knew that I would forever be changed. I met some amazing Moms who were living in their authenticity. No one felt like a stranger. I left the retreat filling full of love, confidence and a new sense of community. We focused on our inner light and for that I’m forever grateful. I’m looking forward to the next retreat!”

“I don’t know if it is possible to sum up what took place at the Mamas Who Dream retreat in the woods of Catskills. There were so many offerings that gave us a chance to reconnect with self, nature and each other. We practiced yoga and breathwork, had an innovative ‘twerk and heal’ session that reminded us of the power of sensuality, then twerked for fun, painted, hiked to waterfalls, had solo photo shoots, and ate nourishing meals at a table that was intentionally prepared just for us. As a Black mother, it was a beautiful reminder of how worthy we are and I couldn’t help but to wish this for every mother of color who dreams.”

“MWD is beyond imagination. The experience is community, commitment, adventure, vulnerability, deep belly laughs, exploration, cleansing tears, and stretching of self. A well curated adventure for the adventure shy/novice. While there was mystery in what to expected, the prep lists were more than adequate once arrived at camp. Not only expanding of self but of networks & connections to women from a plethora of corners of life. I felt safe in a new place. Which is hard for black women to feel anywhere in America. But THERE with you all I felt wrapped in a security I’ve never felt. Highly recommend.”
